**Infrastructure Engineer - Newcastle - Hybrid - £50k**

My client is looking for an IT Engineer to join their long-established software development organisation. It will be up to you to liaise with the business to understand the processes that are currently in place and then then leverage the existing IT systemsto propose, design, and implement better solutions, rolling the new processes out to the business.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Improving internal processes to better use their IT systems.
- Analysing business requirements
- Using existing IT systems to propose and implement improved solutions.
- Monitoring backups
- Monitoring assets that can expire such as software licences and SSL certificates.

**Some examples of the types of projects**:

- Improving our operation procedure management process
- Migrating our network/file shares to a unified cloud-based solution,
- Researching the feasibility for moving the company infrastructure into the cloud.
- Active directory clean up
- Implement password storage solution
- Decommission of old systems

**Essential Skills**:

- A good knowledge Windows administration,
- Outlook administration
- Office 365,
- End user support
- Knowledge of SharePoint - set up of new domain and migration of local data to SharePoint.
- Knowledge of Windows AD permission system.
- Experience of Azure Cloud.
- Managing and monitoring backups.
- Firewalls.
- Switches and routers.
- VMware.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- 4 years' demonstrable experience as an IT Analyst/IT Engineer.
- Committed to the continuous improvement and restructuring of business systems
- Having an expert to take ownership of Office 365, Domain Administration, backups (Azure cloud and on premise),
- Licence renewal and updating SSLs
- A willingness to work with the team to analyse requirements,
- A willingness to find competitively priced solutions, deploy, and roll out is a business goal
- A team player and a high work ethic along with ambition to contribute to growing the business
