Employment Caseworker

To do this you will support learners in the work place through individual job coaching and prepare and deliver careers education sessions to groups. You will also work with other members of the Mencap team to identify and source work placement opportunities for SEND learners in to the local area.
- Skills for a Caseworker- The Caseworker will need the ability to work on your own initiative.
- Good interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively with learners, employers, teaching professionals, parents/carers.
- The ability to maintain accurate and up to date records using IT based systems is also required.
- You will ideally come from a teaching or careers background and/or will need to understand how to communicate and work with learners with varying degrees of learning disabilities.
