**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Odgis Finance is pleased to be recruiting two Regional Finance Business Partners for a leading infrastructure business based in Birmingham. The role will suit a newly qualified accountant who is interested in a very commercial role. Working with senior leadership and wider stakeholder groups to help make sense of the numbers and to play a big part in the decision making across a circa £200m portfolio/ project.

**ROLE DUTIES**
- Act as a senior point of contact for all financial issues for the area of the business.
- Provide specialist support, guidance and advice on key strategic and commercial issues and influence performance outcomes.
- Support the Business by providing objective analysis of business performance, highlighting key issues and problem areas and making recommendations for actions where appropriate.
- Coordinate and act as the first point of contact for monthly financial performance and current year forecast, maintaining regular contact with the Finance Business Partners and Management/Financial Accounting Teams to facilitate effective two-way communication.
- Responsible for performance management and forecast robustness, ensuring that the Business Leadership and Central Teams are all clear about their respective responsibilities in ensuring that the company meets its financial and non-financial targets.
- Support the Business Planning Process for their area of responsibility, ensuring that timelines and requirements are understood by all and that the budget set is achievable and meets the objectives of the organisation.
- Support the Regional Delivery Director within a major Projects Programme, in presenting the budget
- Champion the adoption of new business processes and embed them at a Regional level.
- Work collaboratively with counterparts in other Regions and help transform the company into a high performing company, actively fostering good morale and a high level of engagement in the team.
- Ensure that all significant decisions taken by the Region are supported by robust financial analysis and provide challenge to the decision-making process to ensure optimum use of company resource.
- Take responsibility for financial governance and controls for the Region, coordinating with Financial Control and Corporate Assurance teams to understand and communicate the current framework, ensure it is being adhered to and identify breaches and opportunities for improvement.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Qualified Accountant
- Well-rounded individual with significant finance, governance & commercial experience.
- Able to lead, produce, review & communicate complex investment cases & supporting models/documentation to an appropriate standard.
- Able to work with external professionals and third parties in the production of business cases.
- Experienced in identifying Key Drivers, Risks and suitable KPIs with provision of risk mitigation options & scenario planning where appropriate
- Experience of negotiating at various levels both internally and with third parties.
- Understands, has successfully utilised, and can give valuable educational/instructional advice on portfolio aspects of larger projects and continual improvement techniques.
- Ensuring & implementing strong governance.

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
