**JOB TITLE**

Process Operator - Full Time

**DEPARTMENT**

Plant Manager

**JOB PURPOSE**

To support the Plant manager and work with operational team with the rececption and processing of food waste and to operate and maintain the plant

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Operations**
- Liaise with Plant Manager to ensure daily site checks and routines are maintained to ensure the site remains both compliant with EPR (Permit) and maintains operational performance.
- Day to day plant operations
- Accepting food waste when it arrives to site, loading the waste into the de-packaging process using a front-end loading shovel/telehandler
- Moving materials around the site using mobile plant - Telehandler
- Controlling the delivery trucks bringing waste to site, helping them in and out of the tipping hall. Offloading vehicles with a forklift truck.
- Some first line maintenance to help maintain pumps, pipework and process.
- Washing and cleaning around site with a jet washer
- Completing maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant.
- Being aware of and monitioring the plant process

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
- Process and Operational Experience desired but not essential.
- Be familiar with computer-controlled plant operation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Advanced Computer skills a distinct advantage on the Proccess side of the plant
- A positive flexible attitude and able to work shifts
- A telehandler or forklift truck licence is desired, but training will be given if you don't have an active licence.
- A hands-on and proactive approach
- A basic understanding of Health and Safety requirements at work
- A willingness to work hard, be adaptable to business requirements and to assist operations when overtime is required.
- An ability to manage your own time effectively and the ability (after training) to problem solve independently

**SALARY**

Up to 28,000 a year depending on experience

**WORKING HOURS**

10 hour Shifts - Monday to Friday

7am - 5pm (Some flexibility in times)

Saturday overtime on a rota basis

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
