**Job description**:
This will be a varied role, with your time being split between the office and on site, with travel across the UK to enable completion of projects under your remit as business requires.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Field Supervisor will provide support and guidance to the Field Engineering Team to ensure that all works are completed safely, are compliant and to the HGC quality standard. Duties will include supervising engineering installations, trouble shooting, testing and commissioning, onsite project completion sign off, compiling & completing test results and customer handover packs along with quality and safety checks, support with management of stores, tools and vehicles and ensuring that 24/7 ERS callouts are managed to meet client demand along.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Always follow all Health and Safety guidelines, working closely with SHEQ Manager to accurately report on the engineering activities and carry out live audits.
- Supervising the installation and testing of optic fibre networks
- Supervising the installation of internal and external fibre within commercial or residential properties
- Supervise the installation of internal or external cable containment
- Compiling hard or soft copy of test results
- Compiling hard or soft copy of “As builts”
- Complete detailed daily project reports to Project Manager/Co-ordinator or Operations Manager as appropriate
- Auditing equipment, cable or cable core labelling to customer requirements
- Ability to review, implement / change work pack instructions
- Ability to review, implement / change work pack instructions
- Flexible working approach to the working day and location
- Training of engineers both onsite and in a classroom environment
- Mentor to engineers enabling them to succeed in their role
- Onsite retrospective and real time quality checks
- Onsite safety checks
- Production of redline mark ups if required
- A55 submissions and audit blockages
- DFE booking practices

**Required**:

- Min 5 years’ experience in Telecoms
- Experience working on Openreach or City Fibre networks
- Experience in mentoring and/or leading people
- Good written and verbal English language
- Experience in installation and fault-finding knowledge
- Experience in working in POP/FEX sites
- NRSWA supervisor
- Competent in MS Office
- Knowledge of GIS systems
- SA001 / SA002
- Driving licence

**Desirable**:

- PIA accreditations, K8, N23, N28, S5, S6, S7, S8
