**Volunteers needed by our team at FoodCycle in Mitcham on Thursday evenings**

We are FoodCycle, and our vision is to make food poverty, loneliness and food waste a thing of the past for every community. With community dining, week in, week out we feed the hungry and give company to the lonely in our communities; providing delicious meals and great conversation, and using food which would otherwise go to waste.

Do you love cooking? Do you love meeting new people?

We're looking for volunteers who can join the cooking or hosting team at the Togetherness Community Centre, Wakefield Hall, Taylor Road, London CR4 3JR on a Thursday Our cooking team arrive at 4:15pm and our hosts at 6pm

We have different volunteer roles:

- Hosts: to welcome guests, and serve teas/coffees and the delicious 3 course meal. Help create a warm, friendly atmosphere
- Cooks: to wash, chop and prepare a meal from our surplus food
- Drivers: to collect the surplus food and drop it off at the venue before the meal.

Each session is guided by our wonderful Project Leaders who will show you what to do. We want to be able to keep up with the demand in the area and so it's only with your help we can keep going
- Gain skills and experience for your CV, and meet lovely people
- No experience necessary
- Sign up to come to as few / many meals as you'd like
- Travel expenses can also be claimed

FoodCycle volunteers must be aged over 18.

Pay: £1.00 per day
