**Summary**
As a Finance and Office Assistant at Homes Together, you will support the Director of Central Services in the efficient processing of financial transactions and daily office administration.
This includes working with Xero to ensure timely purchase and sales ledger processing, expense management, reconciliations, petty cash transactions, financial audits, preparing payments and debt chasing. You will also play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the central office, fostering a strong sense of belonging for colleagues and visitors by maintaining a welcoming, inclusive space.
You will approach challenges with optimism, take accountability for accurate and timely finance processes, and work with others in the spirit of teamwork.
**Responsibilities**
These responsibilities require a high level of personal accountability, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit to ensure our teams and suppliers experience timely, professional support. Process and accurately code purchase invoices and prepare payments in Xero and Approval Max.
- Review and process employee expense claims, ensuring alignment with company policy.
- Investigate and resolve purchase ledger queries from internal and external sources within agreed timescales.
- Petty cash transactions, receipts and withdrawals.
- Reconcile supplier statements, identify and resolve discrepancies and update supplier portals.
- Creating and issuing of Service User invoices.
- Maintain strong working relationships with care homes, internal approvers, and external suppliers.
- Support income processing and perform account reconciliations.
- Conduct investigative work to ensure accuracy in the sales ledger and reconciliation of credit balances.
- Assist with regular financial audits.
- Generate ad hoc financial reports
- Perform any other finance-related tasks as directed.

- Maintain kitchen supplies and communal areas to a high standard.
- Prepare meeting rooms and shared spaces to be welcoming and visitor-ready at all times.
- Support Directors and Central Services team and Houses with placing orders and managing supplies.
- Assist with general administrative and ad hoc tasks as required by the Directors or office team.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in an similar role.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
- Experience using Xero accounting software
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, work to deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Enthusiastic, optimistic and eager to learn.
- Self disciplined, reliable, and accountable with a positive attitude.
- Commitment to achieving the goals of the organisation.
- Proficient IT, literacy and numeracy skills.
