St Christopher's works with children and young people in care and has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Individual Giving professional. We are growing our fundraising team due to the success of the last few years, and this role would suit a self-starter looking to lead an individual giving programme and use their expertise to grow this income stream. This position is well suited to an individual looking to make an impact in their next role in a thriving and supportive workplace.

**About the Role**
We are looking for an Individual Giving Lead to help us achieve our ambitious fundraising targets and provide brighter futures for children and young people in care. This role is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who has ambitions to develop and deliver St Christopher’s Individual Giving programme. Based within a small but growing fundraising team, you will develop and grow our individual giving.

We are a strengths-based charity and seek to **promote the brilliant achievements of children and young people with whom we work.** There will be opportunities to work alongside young people to create opportunities for the voices of care-experienced children and young people to be prominent in our fundraising approach.
**The role will include**:
- Working with the Head of Fundraising produce annual plans, budgets and KPI’s for individual giving income generation, including acquisition and retention, helping the fundraising team to achieve agreed targets.
- Develop marketing campaigns using digital and print channels; manage our annual programme of regular giving appeals.
- Develop long-term sustainable income from identifying the audiences, channels, products and messages that will maximise effectiveness and efficiency.
- Design, deliver and improve our stewardship journeys for new and existing supporters.
- Produce monthly reports on campaign and stewardship performance to agreed KPI’s.
- Work closely with communications and marketing internal stakeholders to ensure we adhere to branding and to ensure our marketing positively represents our children and young people.
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure effective finance, data and supporter care processes are followed.
**Applicants should have**:
- Minimum of two years’ experience within a fundraising or direct marketing environment.
- Experience of developing and delivering a strategy to drive an increase in reach and engagement.
- Experience of managing income and expenditure budgets.
- Experience of donor, client or account management in order to grow income.
- Experience of using a contact management database to manage relationships.
- Experience of project management to deliver acquisition or retention campaigns within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Good understanding of current digital marketing concepts, strategies and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with good attention to detail.
- Good computer literacy skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ability to work within and across teams, establishing good working relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to develop and review effective campaign copy writing and design in print and digital channels.
- Knowledge of the Charities Act, GDPR guidelines, the Fundraising Regulator’s codes of conduct and other relevant marketing or fundraising standards across the UK in relation to fundraising and direct marketing.
