**Head of Finance & Investments**

Boston Hale is currently recruiting for a **Head of Finance & Investments** to join our client - a charity supporting the health and wellbeing of their community.

**Overview**:
The Head of Finance and Investments will play a key role in the financial management of the charity, including responsibility for a substantial investment portfolio, as well as financial controls, planning and reporting.

**Day to day duties**:

- Management of a team of 3
- Lead all financial and investment services for the charity
- Manage a high value budget and investment portfolio
- Responsible for the implementation of the finance and investment strategy
- Preparation of financial reports
- Presenting reports and making recommendations based on findings
- Monitoring investment performance and ensuring the implementation of policy is in line with ethical investments

**Previous Experience**:

- Prior leadership experience of a finance function
- Experience of charity accounting financial policies
- Practical experience of preparing charity/not for profit accounts
- Prior knowledge of investment management

**Personal Characteristics**:

- Excellent communication and business partnering skills
- Can manage complex issues
- Confident in interactions with senior stakeholders
- Strong strategic planning skills

**Qualifications**:

- Professional finance qualification - ACA, ACCA, CIMA
