**Alcester - Part time hours over 5 days per week - Permanent - up to £35k Pro rata depending on experience**
We are working on behalf of a successful Accountancy business in a lovely rural location in Alcester. They offer a range of accountancy services, tailored to their individual client's needs, and support a varied and growing client base. They are highly regarded and pride themselves on our proactive and personalised offer.
**Day-to-day duties and responsibilities for the Book-keeper role.**
- Supporting a varied portfolio of clients throughout the year.
- Preparing of accounts, Corporation Tax returns, and Personal Tax returns up to the final review stage.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns through MTD.
- Liaising with HMRC.
- Discussing and resolving accounts queries with clients.
- Identifying, researching, and helping to resolve technical issues that may arise.
- Assisting with any ad hoc project work as required by clients.
- Supporting other members of staff.

**What you'll need to succeed in our Book-keeper role**
- Working knowledge of Xero and experience working with clients who use this software
- Previous Similar experience in a Practice.
- Competent in all aspects of accounts and tax preparation with the ability to prepare for to review stage.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use formulas and manage data with spreadsheets.
- Motivated to maintain up-to-date technical knowledge.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptable, innovative, and able to work proactively and on your own initiative.
- Ability to take a flexible approach to work with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Conscientious with excellent attention to detail.
- Willing to be involved and support all areas of the business.
- The ability to file with HMRC and familiarity with their online portal.
- Experienced in the use of a range of cloud accounting software.
- Payroll and PAYE would be a bonus but is not essential.
