**Activities Assistant (Full Time)**

**Hampton Care Home**

**40 hours per week / £9.70 per hour**

A fantastic and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Activities Assistant to become part of our team on a full time basis at Hampton Care Home.

You will be required to work **40 hours per week** on a rotational shift pattern between Monday to Sunday, alternate weekend working will also be required as part of this role.

**Activities Assistant - Key Duties**:

- Assist with planning weekly activities in line with the requests and choices of the residents
- Enhance the wellbeing of residents through stimulating social and physical activities
- Ensure the emotional, social, physical and intellectual needs of the residents are listened to and met
- Assess needs and plan individual activities for residents who are unable to participate in group activities
- Motivate the care team, promote the importance of activities and contribute to the caring culture of the Home

**Activities Assistant - Requirements**:

- Excellent communicator
- Show an empathetic, warm and cheerful personality
- Ability to put creative ideas into practice
- Experience of working with senior people would be preferred but not essential
- Experience in activities for older people will be an advantage
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Have the flexibility and willingness to work shifts, including weekends
