Senior Project Controller

**Description**
Hitachi Energy has a exciting opportunity for a **Senior Project Controller** you'll be responsible for the correctness of project balance sheet and income statement as well as for cash flow and monthly/quarterly forecast. Drives project cash flow. Manages currency risk, tax issues, controls financial accounting and reporting (including project site accounting), and ensures compliance with project financing requirements.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepares a Project Financial Execution Plan (as part of an overall Project Execution Plan covering all financial, commercial and tax aspects such as permanent establishment, revenue recognition methods, billing plan, payment securities, consortium administration, import duties and VAT, etc.).
- Establishes project governance process. Participates in opportunity/risk identification, ensure that all required mitigation actions are implemented in a timely manner.
- Drives, co-ordinates and prepares monthly project reviews jointly with the Project Manager. Reviews and takes joint responsibility with the Project Manager for project cost reports including estimates to complete and project schedule.
- Promotes commercial awareness in the project team and checks the commercial conditions in the project execution plan (such as T&Cs in supply management, claims, back-to-back conditions). Drives claim, back-charges and insurance cases and monitors the proper follow up together with the Contract Manager/Project Manager upstream (towards customer), side-stream (towards consortia partner) as well as downstream (towards suppliers).
- Follows up on internal project audit reports, and ensures timely implementation of all required actions related to projects under responsibility.
**Your Background**:
- Qualified accountant with ACCA
- Proven experience in project Controlling
- Strong communications skills
- High attention to detail
- Experience in Project Financial Execution Plans and balance sheets
