**Job Summary**
The Activities Co-ordinator plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents within a care home. This position involves planning, organising, and implementing engaging activities tailored to the interests and needs of young adults and seniors, including those requiring dementia care. The Activities Co-ordinator will work closely with staff, residents, and families to foster a vibrant community atmosphere that promotes social interaction and personal growth.

**Duties**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities programme that caters to the diverse interests of residents.
- Coordinate daily activities, ensuring they are accessible and enjoyable for all participants.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to encourage participation and feedback on activities.
- Assess the individual needs of residents to provide personalised care and support through tailored activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure activities align with residents' health and well-being goals.
- Organise special events, outings, and celebrations that enhance community spirit within the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback to continually improve the activities programme.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all activities.

**Skills**
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with seniors, families, and staff members.
- Experience in a care home or assisted living environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is beneficial for designing appropriate activities.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and understanding towards the needs of seniors.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Creativity in developing engaging programmes that stimulate physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and adapting activities based on resident feedback.
