**Commodities Business Analyst (Market Risk) - £700 - £800pd - Oil & Gas - 12 Months - Fully Remote**
**Overview**:
A leading FTSE10 Oil & Gas organisation are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with experience in the Commodities sector to join them on a 12 month initial contract.
**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Perform a hands-on business analysis role and work closely with the business users and other analysts to gather detailed, unambiguous business requirements and translate these into requirement specifications for the development teams, coordinate related projects,with a hands-on (technically minded); getting-things-done approach.
- Work with the other business analysts and development teams to capture system requirements and drive the design of quality technical solutions.
- Understand the business processes and flows to enable the analysis of business requirements and the development of solutions.
- Lead engagements with key stakeholders within specific work streams to define business requirements and drive the design of quality technical solutions.
- Provide direction and technical leadership on complex, high-impact projects and in all phases of the development and implementation process, ensuring business objectives are accomplished.
- System configuration, security/authorization set-up, user documentation, data interface design, data migration and data reconciliation.
- Assist in optimising business performance by continually looking to improve the alignment between business processes and the CTRM in conjunction with business process owners.
- Drive the adoption of best practice in business domains and support the use of standardised processes, systems, and solution.
- Develop and agree test scripts (steps and expected positive and negative results) with the business SME and teams.
- Ongoing engagement with the automated testing team to provide requirements for the automation of regression testing
- Perform regression testing to minimize risk of implementing new changes
- Act as the key specialist point of contact for service providers in problem solving and investigations related to incidents in the Market Risk area
- Manage service introduction and deployment of new business functionality, ensuring best practice by any third-party teams
**Role Requirements**:

- Strong knowledge in nuances of physical and derivative trading, pricing engines, M2M, exposure and P&L.
- Possess good hands-on experience as a Business Analyst or an industry practitioner in CTRM across Mining & Metals, Energy or Agriculture industry.
- Prior implementation experience and functional knowledge of CTRM solutions (specific Aspect and Veson systems knowledge - desirable.
- Good interpersonal skills and able to interact with users at all levels, as well as with other technical/IT colleagues from various countries and cultures.
