Apprentice Roadworker

**The job itself**:
Are you committed to working towards (and do not already hold) the Level 2 Highway Maintenance Skilled Operative, Apprenticeship Standard.

The qualification offered as part of the apprenticeship, is aimed at those who do not have a full working knowledge of the role and who will, under supervision work as part of a team learning on the job. You will undertake operations associated with the maintenance and construction of roads/footpaths, bridges, winter maintenance, surface dressing, paving and drainage improvement schemes.

If you are self-motivated, can demonstrate enthusiasm, passion and commitment to work and have the ability to work as part of a team, then we encourage you to apply You must have an understanding of helping and respecting customers and be able to communicate effectively.

You will need to hold GCSEs in English and Mathematics (at a minimum, of level 4 or equivalent). This is a structured training role and day release to college will be required (Doncaster College, Stainforth Site) for which transport can be arranged. With the apprenticeship course lasting for a 2-year period.
