**Systems Engineer (Linux) - London - Financial Services - £90k**

Arcas Technology are currently partnered with a leading Financial Services company based in London. They are looking for a Linux Engineer to join their business, you will be working in a team who are responsible for the provision, management and optimisationof many technologies that support the companies trading platforms and business systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Complete project-based work to improve and enhance IT in line with business objectives
- Manage BAU workload of service requests, incidents and changes
- Increase the efficiency of processes through automation and standardization
- Perform the in-depth investigations required to resolve technical issues
- Provide regular communication to management regarding system availability, capacity, performance and operational issues
- Produce and maintain secure configurations and monitor compliance against standards
- Produce and maintain appropriate documentation and conduct any handovers for operational support
- Liaise with 3rd party vendors

**Key Skills**:

- Enterprise scale expertise of Red Hat Linux System Administration
- Experience with automation technologies
- Experience of volume creation with underlying enterprise block storage technologies
- Experience with VMware
- System-level performance tuning
- Brocade SAN
- File serving (NFS/CIFS/FTP)
