**ZS's Business Consulting group** delivers solutions to a broad spectrum of sales and marketing challenges. We also help our clients transform their sales and marketing organizations to implement these solutions. Our solutions and recommendations are based in rigorous research and analysis underpinned by deep expertise and thought leadership.
**PRINCIPAL**
We seek applicants for the Principal role within our Value & Access Practice Area. This role will focus on leadership of ZS’ services in Health Economics (HE).
Principals have immediate responsibility for enhancing ZS offerings, leading project teams, and collaborating with other ZS leaders to build client relationships.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the global HE strategy and capability development for both ZS and our clients, across therapeutic areas
- Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to our clients. Develop a strong point-of-view and establish ZS thought leadership in HE
- Work closely with ZS client teams to lead client business development and client relationship development across our key client accounts.
- Market our HE service line to increase awareness of ZS capabilities in HE, build knowledge of our point-of-view, and inform our clients’ perception of the ZS value proposition in HE
- Consistently deliver quality client services and drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget; ensure your client teams do the same.
- Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
- Effectively lead and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.
- Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
- Play an active role in counseling and mentoring junior team members within ZS.
- Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge.
- Possess in-depth business acumen. Run a growing and profitable HE service line for ZS, deliver profitable projects, and invest in innovation that supports our growth.
**Qualifications**:
- Masters degree in Engineering, Life Sciences or Business or equivalent- MD, PharmD or MPH preferred- 15+ years of experience in the life science industry with 10+ years of consulting experience- Demonstrated experience with Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) with a particular emphasis on health economics- Demonstrated experience driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects- An recognized expert in HE by health economists and health economics clients- Ability to lead and manage teams to execute large-scale, cross-functional, global projects- A creative problem solver with a track record of accomplishments in life sciences, HE, HEOR, and consulting- Demonstrated experience with driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects at the senior level.- Executive level presence and communication skills- Subject matter expert with published thought leadership pieces and previous speaking engagements
- Expertise in health economic modeling and knowing which models are best for particular clients given their market access goals
- Expertise in overseeing HE-related secondary database analyses to support modeling efforts, other market access or pricing goals, and/or publication needs
- Expertise in guiding clients with the development of execution of value statements specific to their product and development stage
- Expertise with selecting the best HE outcomes for use in clinical trials or medical affairs studies, as well as being able to recommend the best analyses for these outcomes
- Expertise in communicating HE findings in various forms of communication, including peer-reviewed publication, abstracts and conference presentations, AMCP dossiers, and global value dossiers (the latter two for which we only expect the ability to integrate HE findings within these larger efforts)
- Strong network to leverage for recruiting more junior team members

ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in European or Asian languages is desirable.
