Head of Technical Operations

**ENGIE are recruiting for the Head of Technical Operations to be based in Blackburn, BB23HH. This is a permanent full-time working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.**

Work the hours required to full fill the role, unsociable hours may be required pursuant to task. Site presence is required and participation in on call management rota is expected.

**About the role**:
As the Head of Operations you will have direct responsibility leading and managing the team of technical managers which oversee the smooth running of the hospital services for ELHT. You will form part of the Senior Management team on the site and co-ordinate with other Senior Managers, deputising for the Account Director in the day-to-day operations of the Services.

This role is client facing therefore excellent customer service skills are required along with an approach of engaging and motivating our people to deliver excellent services.

**Main Responsibilities/Duties Include**:

- Lead, direct and motivate the Technical Services team to enable contribution to the best of their ability and maximise their potential
- Responsible for the management of the service delivery which meets/exceeds the needs of internal and external customers of the contract.
- Ensure maintenance is carried out in line with budgetary and quality constraints and in line with agreed service levels.
- Ensure effective working relationships are enhanced with key stakeholders by regularly exceeding the standard of work delivered and coordinating all hard services activities across the sites.
- Fully support the Account Director in all aspects of contract delivery and future growth.
- Deliver the business strategy in the service area for ENGIE and achieve service objectives and profit while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Represent ENGIE in all Technical Operational matters through sound decision making.
- Grow business reputation and longer-term business opportunities through effective client relationship management and customer service excellence and effective PR of positive work
- Ensure financial budgets and commercial/SLA obligations are achieved/exceeded.

**Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience**:

- Minimum of three to five years relevant experience within a healthcare or PFI environment.
- Technical qualification to degree/HND/HNC level is preferred, however an ability to understand and learn aspects which are outside the base qualification is essential.
- NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent managing Health and Safety qualification is required.
- A comprehensive understanding of the maintenance requirements for all electrical and mechanical Building services along with fabric maintenance within acute healthcare properties.
- An understanding of alternative maintenance regimes.
- Proven experience of successfully managing and engaging people is important.
- Carrying out technical monitoring, audits and reviews and preparation of technical reports.
- Managing a planned preventative maintenance system and sub-contractors.
- Delivery of toolbox talks and on-site coaching/training.
