**As part of the Sports Education coaching team, you will lead the delivery of a bespoke Sports Education programme within Primary Schools and Early years settings throughout the London area.**
MAIN DUTIES
Primary PE
- To teach key stage 1 and key stage 2 Physical Education to the highest possible standard, within the framework of the National Curriculum and whole school policies and requirements.
- To ensure that the quality of teaching and learning in lessons is of the highest possible quality.
- To identify and adopt the most effective teaching approaches for the Key Stages 1 and 2 and keep abreast of contemporary educational issues.
- To take a professional approach to the planning, preparation and organisation of lessons and activities.
- To maintain good classroom discipline.
- To ensure high quality classroom management.
- To maintain high expectations of pupils and ensure that teaching approaches and materials are commensurate with their capability, so that the optimum standard of achievement is reached.
- To maintain appropriate assessment records, data collection and monitoring information.
- To implement appropriate Health and Safety policies and procedures in order to ensure a safe, effective, child friendly environment in all lessons and activities.
- To maintain current knowledge of National Curriculum PE, governing body and other relevant agencies’ programmes, policies, guidance and advice.
- To be committed to continuous professional development (CPD) relevant to the post.
Early Years
- Lead the delivery of Early Years Fundamental Movement programme to a variety of participants of varying ages from 1 years to 5 years and various abilities.
- Ensure that an individual child centred approach is taken to physical, cognitive and emotional development.
- To be a positive role model at all times and lead the delivery and evaluation of each pre designed lesson within the allocated SportyMini’s Programme.
- Provide qualitative feedback on sessions with recommendations for improvements and contribute ideas and solutions on all areas of SportyMini’s programme.
- To monitor and evaluate continually all sessions and adapt future delivery to cater for different ability ranges by adopting a differentiated and inclusive approach to coaching.
- Maintain and update accurate on-site records of all children participating in each programme.
- Liaise with nursery managers and staff to provide feedback on the progress of children during each session.
- To involve support teachers, parents / carers, nursery staff and any other help available at each session.
- Work with Nursery staff to set up and dismantle sports equipment required for the session. Prior to the arrival and following children’s departure you must observe all Health and Safety requirements

- You are Fun, bubbly, and reliable. You love being surrounded by children and understand the value of physical education for children.
- You have had physical education or sports coaching experience, and are fit, active and have a passion for sports and physical activity
- Have a DBS, that is registered on the update service
- Level 1/2 Multi Skills
**Job Type**: Part-time
Ideally 2 mornings a week (9am-11.30am) and 1 afternoon a week (1.30pm-4pm)
