As a multifaceted company we present an exciting opportunity for an **Open Water Swim Instructor in Exmouth**. Based at Exmouth Leisure Centre and Exmouth Beach.

**THE IMPACT YOU WILL HAVE**:
In this pivotal role, the Open Water Swim Instructor plays a crucial part in the success of the LED Swim to Sea programme. With a focus on safety and effective communication, the instructor delivers expert coaching to individuals and groups in both pool and open water settings. Their impact extends beyond the sessions, as they proactively engage with participants during information sessions, ensure qualifications are up to date, and contribute to ongoing improvement through post-lesson reflections and feedback. By fostering a positive and motivating environment, the instructor not only enhances swimming skills but also encourages a sense of community among participants. Their commitment to safety, continuous learning, and dynamic program delivery makes them instrumental in creating a rewarding and enriching experience for swimmers at Exmouth swimming pool and seafront.

**WHAT YOU WILL BRING**:
To excel in the role of Open Water Swim Instructor, certain qualifications, skills, and attributes are essential. The instructor must hold a minimum Level 2 Swim Teacher Qualification, alongside crucial certifications in open water and beach lifeguarding (or the ability to receive the qualification once in the role). DBS Certificate is mandatory (which will be carried out before beginning the role), underscoring their commitment to safety and participant well-being. Proven experience as a teacher working with adult swimmers demonstrates their ability to effectively guide individuals of varying skill levels. The instructor's dedication to ongoing learning and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment are key, complemented by strong planning, interpersonal, and communication skills. Their outgoing personality, motivational abilities, and experience in organising coached sessions contribute to creating a positive and engaging atmosphere for participants. A team player with a self-disciplined and initiative-driven approach, the instructor is not just a facilitator but a catalyst for continuous improvement within the LED Swim to Sea programme.
