Your Role - Enhancing Mealtimes, Enriching Lives
As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that bring comfort and enjoyment to our residents. Working closely with our Chef, you'll support all aspects of food preparation and service, ensuring every mealtime is a positive and enjoyable experience.
Key Responsibilities
**Meal Preparation**: Assist with washing, peeling, chopping, and preparing fresh ingredients
**Cooking Support**: Follow recipes and assist with cooking and presentation of meals
**Meal Service**: Plate and serve meals, ensuring dietary needs and presentation standards are met
**Kitchen Hygiene**: Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in line with food safety regulations
**Stock Control**: Help monitor stock levels, rotate ingredients, and support inventory checks

What We're Looking For
**Experience**: Previous experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role is preferred (minimum 1 year desirable)
**Training**: Food Hygiene Certificate is ideal (training can be provided)
**Attitude**: A positive, proactive approach with a willingness to learn and contribute to a resident-focused environment
**Team Player**: Able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues and residents
