**What you’ll be doing**
As a Security Specialist within Thames Water you will be working under the guidance of the Regional Security Advisor, direct and control the performance of physical security within a specific geographic area to ensure our assets are secure. Promoting security within the business to ensure Thames Water’s people, processes, premises and assets’ security is maintained. Travel is required across the Thames Water estate and own transport is required. Your core duties will include:
- Conducting security investigations and security risk assessments across our estate
- Creating reports, providing briefings and updating systems
- Taking part in testing and exercising of our security arrangements
- Providing general security advice
- Providing and producing security awareness material
- £40,000 per annum
- £4,500 car allowance
- You can be based at any Thames Water site within the Thames Valley region
- This is a Hybrid role, split between site visits, office and home
- Travel will be required across the whole of the Thames Water estate
- 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday
- This is a Full-Time position
**We’re looking for you to**
- Have experience in a physical security role
- Have experience of working in a regulated environment i.e. utilities, government department, national infrastructure etc
- Have an understanding of physical security principles, methodology and processes
- Have an understanding of security risk assessments and report writing
- Have experience of investigating security incidents
- Be able to communicate at all levels, present to an audience and build strong relationships
- Demonstrate strong negotiation and people influencing skills
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power Bi)
