**Atkinson Moss are pleased to be supporting our client with the appointment of a new Financial Controller. This SME has experienced impressive growth in the past year to £6m, with ambition to take this to £10m over the next 12 months.**

**Reporting into the Managing Director,an opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join this business at a pivotal point in the organisations growth journey. This role will oversee the development of a small finance function and becomean influential member of the management team.**

**Accountabilities;**
- Production of monthly management accounts, overhauling existing processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery of results.
- Balance sheet review and reconciliations with ownership of queries and differences.
- Ownership of the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Developing and leading the finance team
- Developing and implementing appropriate financial and non-financial reporting including lead indicators to management and the board.
- Production of statutory accounts and owning the relationship with accountants and auditors.
- Work with the MD to identify operating efficiencies whilst reviewing and streamline accounting functions.
- Constructive challenge to management and executive team on all financial aspects of the business.

**Qualifications, Experience and Skills**
- Qualified accountant
- Accustomed to working in fast paced entrepreneurial environments.
- Accustomed to working independently and able to prioritise and focus resources to deliver on key objectives.
- Ability to influence at management and board level.
- Strong attention to detail, solution focused and pragmatic.
