One of our large banking clients are working on a data monitoring system within financial crime, data analytics. They are upgrading the system in line with regulatory requirements in regards to how they report fraudulent activity. This will look at speedof data going through it and what reporting is required to support the systems (putting alerts on etc), as well as working through significant data backlogs caused by COVID. They need a SAS Consultant with strong stakeholder management skills to work withdifferent technical areas and capture/define requirements, do data analysis as well as work with data engineering and reporting teams - also working out what dashboards need to say as they don’t have this information. They will need to be strong in SAS andSQL as thats where the majority of the data sits in, with Teradata and Mongo or Hadoop experience. Ideally you will have fin-crimeexperience as well but if not, then experience of at least working in financial services is required.

Lots of stakeholder management, refining and defining the requirements, spec'ing the data they are gathering and reporting on tolerances of data, where its coming from and where it is going, and moving dat from source to target systems. The end of the projectwill see them producing a new transaction alert system that shows and tells customers what is happening with their data, where is comes from and goes to, issues with it etc.

The role is fully remote and inside IR35
