Do you have floristry or gardening experience and enjoy working with cut flowers and pot grown plants in a garden setting? Are you keen to support our busy, friendly team of florists and gardeners to deliver a range of floristry-driven events in incredible surroundings? If so, we have a unique opportunity to join the Production Garden Team at Chatsworth on a casual basis, where creativity and diversity are highly valued.

Directed by the team, you will be involved in the following; harvesting and conditioning flowers and foliage and will do jobs as directed by them to help with the creation of well-presented cut flower and potted plants displays for our retail outlets, weddings, corporate clients, the private house, our hotels, and holiday cottages. You will be required to work alone and as part of a team and keep our workspaces tidy and safe to operate in and will include as much indoor as outdoor work. There will also be opportunities to assist with various courses and workshops throughout the seasons and support in other areas of the production garden as required.

An ability to support the production of floral displays befitting Chatsworth is required alongside general experience and knowledge of flower production, use and presentation. A willingness to work under the guidance of the established team and to participate in periodic gardening duties directed by them is necessary for this role.

This is a casual position working on an ad hoc, as and when required basis, therefore a flexible approach to working is necessary sometimes at short notice. The post will require some weekend working so please indicate your availability when applying.

Due to the nature of this role, a DBS check will be required.
