**Senstronics** Ltd is an acknowledged leader in the design, development and production of a high stability range of pressure sensing products.

Based in Newton Aycliffe and established in 1999, Senstronics have invested heavily to develop its own state of the art thin film production facility and in-house ASIC design technology.

Senstronics is seeking an ambitious Team Leader to join the Thin Film Processing Unit, to support the growth of the department and lead a team to be the role models for operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.

**Job Purpose**:
As a Team Leader in the Thin Film Processing Unit you will be working as part of a team of Team Leaders on a rotating shift pattern covering 24hr working Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for a team of Production Operators, ensuring production targets are met in all areas in accordance with business objectives and strategic plans.

**Main duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure Health & Safety standards are adhered to at all times.
- Assisting the Supervisor to plan the running of production work cells for optimum productivity.
- To lead your team to ensure all production targets and quality standards are met.
- Ensuring priority orders are communicated and progressed across the shifts.
- Ensure regular communication/briefing to provide the team with the relevant information to carry out their shift to maximum effect.
- Kitting parts and loading scheduled work orders into the start of the production line.
- Assisting in recording and communicating production productivity data and downtime accurately.
- Review team performance regularly to identify areas for improvement and encourage progress of individual team members through performance reviews.
- Manage, resolve and escalate day to day issues with quality, processes, equipment, materials, and team members.
- People management responsibilities, including absence management and employee relations.
- Manage, resolve and escalate shift issues regarding quality, productivity, equipment downtime and team members.
- Contribute to the planning, organisation, operation and installation of all new processes and equipment within the Unit.
- Reporting shift production figures on Priority for all areas

**Other duties**:
To undertake any other duties appropriate to the level of the post, as required.
- Experience of leading and influencing others within a team.

- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel (and the use of other Microsoft packages such as Outlook and Word).
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to speak to different departments across the business.
