Housekeeper - Leverington Ward

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Housekeeper to join the team on Leverington Ward.

This Ward is a 32-bedded unit and is in the division of General Medicine. The ward and our staff provide care for a wide range of patients and clinical conditions.

Within this role, you will work as an integral part of the ward team ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff and visitors.

**Duties include**:

- Supporting the nursing team to ensure high standards of cleanliness is maintained.
- Date checking of equipment and stores and maintaining right amount of stock.
- Supporting with providing patients refreshments,

As a Housekeeper, you will assist in achieving the highest possible standard of cleanliness which will minimise the risk of cross infection to patients, staff and visitors. We are all one team at The QEH and our mission is to provide the best possible care for our patients and their families at all times.

You will play an important part within the team, with duties such as:

- To receive, welcome and guide visitors on the ward, liaising with other staff as appropriate.
- To transport equipment, consumables and written information as required.
- To respond to requests for general information.
- To receive and pass on information to others, maintaining confidentialTo handle informal complaints and take appropriate action.
- To assist with the training of staff involved with Housekeeping Services into ward/area routines to required standards.
