Head of Centre

We have a position for a Head Of Centre within the Civil Engineering Department of a prominent college in the Canterbury area. This will be on a temporary basis with an immediate start.
You will be responsible for managing a programme area and centre, and will provide effective management and control of the College's estate and buildings including operational matters relating to Health and Safety within the College.
The Centre will offer curriculum programmes in Bricklaying, Pipe, slab and curb laying, SMSTS and SSSTS and Street Works. You will be responsible for line management of staff, setting and reviewing the centres curriculum and overseeing the estate managementresponsibilities.
The role requires you to have experience in a further education management role with a good understanding of further education processes, systems and data.
Furthermore, you should have experience in curriculum design, implementation and development, previous responsibility for Estates and Health and Safety as well as experience with line managing a team of staff.
Experience within Civil Engineering and Bricklaying is a must, and you should have a proven track record in setting and delivering ambitious targets, high professional standards and excellence within adult education and training.
The role will be working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday
