Children's Residential Support Worker

Sanctuary Personnel, a compassionate and forward-thinking recruitment agency, is excited to offer a new and rewarding opportunity as a Residential Child Support Worker (Waking Nights) at a Children’s home in Brighton and Hove.
The salary for this permanent Waking Nights Support Worker job is up to £27,872.
**Main Duties**:
- Assist young people with day-to-day tasks such as education, laundry, budgeting, and teaching independent life skills
- Accompany young people to community activities and appointments
- Monitor and support healthcare needs, including medication administration
- Adapt communication to meet the individual needs of each young person
- Collaborate with professionals, including doctors and therapists, to ensure consistent support
- Maintain accurate logs and reports
- Participate in key work sessions with young people
- Follow structured reporting and safeguarding procedures
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, training sessions, and supervision
**Requirements**:
- A Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent, or willingness to undertake this
- Minimum of 3-6 months’ experience in Children’s residential care
- Good observation and listening skills
- Organised and works well under pressure
- Work well within a team
