**The Filo Project**
The Filo Project is a not-for-profit enterprise offering high quality, small group day care for older people. Small groups give time and space for people to feel at ease and form friendships.
The Filo Project started in Devon in 2014 and expanded to Somerset in 2020. The popularity of our model has seen continued expansion and we are delighted to announce that we are now moving into other counties, including East Lancashire.
Our service is primarily for those who are socially isolated and may also be experiencing symptoms associated with early to moderate dementia including memory loss. Our aim is to provide a socially stimulating environment where our clients feel valued and at ease.
This is an exciting time to be joining The Filo Project as we move into new areas, extending our vital support and helping more people to live well with dementia.

We are looking for a self motivated, confident team player to build and manage a group of Day Care Hosts and their clients for The Filo Project in East Lancashire.
You will be required to manage a team of Day Care Hosts in your area, from induction onwards. This will include, for example, carrying out risk assessments of the hosts home, coordinating holiday cover and completing appraisals. Excellent communication skills are essential and you will need to demonstrate diplomacy and sensitivity, as you will be liaising with clients and their families, and stakeholders such as GP’s and social workers, as well as your hosts, building relationships for the benefit of the organisation.
You will be an ambassador for The Filo Project, speaking to various organisations about provision in your area, and taking a lead on attending events and meetings, to ensure that those who need our services know we are able to help.
