The Assistant Accountant will be working in a small team, reporting directly to the CFO.
- Receiving and processing accounts payable invoices.
- Preparation and consolidation of monthly MIS reporting pack for stand-alone as well as consolidation reports
- Setting up new customer and supplier accounts
- Cash Allocation
- Verifying calculations working with the Accounts system (SAP Business One)
- Internal Reporting
- Review and maintain fixed asset register for capitalization, amortization, and depreciation of the fixed and intangible assets.
- Reconciling finance accounts in line with month end reporting
- Weekly payment run.
- Reviewing and monitoring General Ledger activities
- Liaise with auditors and provide information on time to adhere to group reporting deadlines for finalisation of consolidated audit accounts.
- Any other ad hoc duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- GCSE Math’s & English (Grade A-C) (essential)
- A Levels (Grade A-C) (essential)
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar role (essential)
- Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook - Advanced knowledge (essential)
- Working towards an accountancy qualification (desirable)
- An enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated personality and the ability to quickly contribute to the culture and way of working
- Excellent attention to detail (essential)
- Computer literate and numerate (essential)
- Ability to work in a team environment (essential)
- Ability to work autonomously (essential)
- Working knowledge of accounting systems e.g. SAP, SAGE accounting
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language for reading/writing documents (essential)
- Good interpersonal skills

**Salary & Benefits**
- Salary £33,000-£36,000 p/a depending on experience.
