My client is one of the largest privately owned property companies in the country. Working from their Alderley Edge head office, they are currently looking to make an addition to their Technical and Commercial department in the form of a Buyer.

**The Role**
- Supporting with the day to day management of procurement costs for the division
- Monitoring materials budgets to deliver the business unit output in an effective timescale
- Ensuring competitive procurement of materials and plant as dictated by individual projects
- Monitoring supplier performance and budgets as contracts progress
- Preparing material take-offs from contract drawings
- Preparing material schedules on Excel for internal/external use

**The Person**
- Highly professional and well presented
- Strong communication skills
- Great organisational skills with the ability to keep to strict deadlines
- Experience as a buyer ideally within the construction industry - knowledge of take-offs, schedules and budgeting
- Current CSCS card or equivalent (highly desirable) as some site travel may be required
- IT literate with a proficiency in Microsoft packages especially Word and Excel
- Experience using COINS (highly desirable)

**Salary and Benefits**

Salary based on experience up to £45,000, plus fantastic company benefits including ongoing development and support, free onsite parking, generous holiday allowance, Christmas shut down, generous company pension, and more.
