Interim Finance Manager
Are you a Finance Manager with previous experience within the Public Sector looking for a new challenge?

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Interim Finance Manager to assist them through a period of transition.

**In this role the key factors include to manage, organise and supervise administrative systems within the organisation. Contributing to the planning, development and monitoring of support services and/or Management of support staff, including coordinationand delegation of relevant activities.** **Responsibilities in post**:

- Assisting the Head of Finance in providing strategic guidance, leadership and management of the finances advising the Chief Executive Officer, Board, Audit Committee and Finance Committee on all financial matters.
- Work on developing, setting and monitoring the annual budget.
- Working with the Head of Finance to advise the Board on financial strategy that supports the aims and ethos.
- Working to develop and maintain all financial policies ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory requirements.
- Working with the Head of Finance and Business Managers to develop and implement robust financial management policies, processes and reporting systems that satisfy statutory accounting and audit requirements and ensure compliance with the Financial Handbookand Statement of Recommended Practices of the Charities Commission.
- Working with the external auditors and the Head of Finance to prepare year end accounts for compliance purposes.
- To prepare and submit financial returns.
- Working to ensure appropriate internal audit checks and responsible officer work is carried out for all parties.
- To work with the Head of Finance in providing consolidated management information to the Board and appropriate committees on the financial performance, making any recommendations as required.
- Working with the Head of Finance to provide support to maximise funding, grant and sponsorship opportunities.
- To support business managers and providing appropriate training and support on agreed procedures.

**Required experience**:

- Have experience working in a finance manager role
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have effective organisational skills
- Are able to prioritise workload and manage own time effectively
