**We are a small independent food retailer. A shop for cooks and those who like to eat**

**We sell organic local produce, have a large local cheese counter and great cakes and baked goods. We also stock rare and unusual cooking ingredients and have our own range of preserves.**

**The job-**

1. Serving behind the counter in the shop including upselling of cheeses and local products.

2. You must be able to work under pressure in a small yet very busy workplace. You will be on your feet and there is some physical work when deliveries arrive.

3. A potential long term job opportunity.

4. Full training on the products we stock.

**You-**

A food enthusiast with a keen interest in cooking.

Retail experience a bonus but not required. However you do need to be friendly, a team player and happy to jump in. You will need to have good customer service skills.

We are looking for someone who is organised, clean and tidy when working, and has initiative. We are a young business growing quickly so there is plenty of room for good ideas and we would like to take on someone to be part of our team long term so there is plenty of scope for you to bring your experiences to the table. We ask for a minimum of 4 months commitment but are keen to grow and train our staff, so this could develop into a long term role for the right person.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: £7.00-£11.00 per hour
