Today we operate across three factories, one in Borough Green and two on the same campus in Pollington, employing over 250 people and enjoying a market share of circa 40% and a revenue in the region of £100m As the leading manufacturer of aerated concrete products in the UK, we consistently aim to be the employer of choice, offering an incredibly stimulating place to work Through internal training, performance management and the use of external training providers we offer all employees the chance to learn new skills and develop existing ones helping us to maintain and improve the excellent service we offer to our customers We are now recruiting for an enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to join our Pollington site. **As our Electrical Engineer you will**: - Work within the Engineering Shift Team, providing breakdown assistance as and when required. - Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance to all electrical plant to a high standard. - Co-operate with maintenance supervision in the operation of planned maintenance and lubrication schedules. - At all times be aware of and comply with the company safety policy, The Health and Safety at Work Act, and any other safety specific instructions as may be issued by the company from time to time. - Monitor the performance of all plant whilst production is in progress, attempting to predict failures where possible, minimising disruption to operations and ensuring that plant’s continued safe operation. - Record details of problems encountered with the plant in the shift log to assist with continuity between shift teams. - Move the Engineering Department toward a 5s culture - Support the Maintenance Supervisor and the Engineering Manager to deliver on Capital Projects, ensuring that all equipment and workmanship is of a high standard. - Provide 'hands on’ electrical support during shutdown periods and the weekly scheduled maintenance time. **In order to be successful in this role you must have**: - Time-served maintenance craft team member - ONC / NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) - 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations certified - Applicants will be expected to be able to use electrical test equipment, read schematic diagrams and have Experience in single and 3 phase installations including motors, inverters and PLC’s. - Previous and specific experience in a similar hands-on Electrical Maintenance Engineer position within a heavy engineering continuous production process. - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Experience in corrective maintenance and fault finding - Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and maintenance CMMS systems **If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience to be successful in this role click on "APPLY" today, forwarding an up to date copy of your CV for consideration in the first instance.** No agencies please.
