**IT Support Technician / Hardware Build and Logistics Administrator** with a good understanding of iOS and Apple devices and hardware in order to perform basic set-up and troubleshooting tasks, PC build and imaging knowledge and basic Windows administration tasks is required for a leading independent IT solutions company basedin Solihull, West Midlands.

This role will be split between building and imaging PC’s and logistics/tracking of IT asset shipments.

**SALARY**:£24,000 pro rata + Benefits

**LOCATION**:Solihull, West Midlands - (initial training will take place in Milton Keynes for approx. 2 weeks)

**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT Support Technician / Hardware Build and Logistics Administrator with a good understanding of iOS and Apple devices and hardware in order to perform basic set-up and troubleshooting tasks, PC build and imagingknowledge and basic Windows administration tasks.

Working as an IT Support Technician / Hardware Build and Logistics Administrator you will support the 2nd Line Support Team and Project Teams with the building and logistics elements of IT equipment within the UK business.

As the IT Support Technician / Hardware Build and Logistics Administrator the role will include the management and tracking of IT assets as well as the building and provisioning of equipment (e.g. imaging and shipping PC’s, Laptops, Mobile and Tablet devices).

**DUTIES**

Your role as IT Support Technician / Hardware Build and Logistics Administrator will include:

- Manage the logistics and shipping of devices to sites in line with the project & BAU requirements. This includes:

- Unpacking and packing of hardware
- Arranging courier collections and deliveries in line with requirements
- Tracking of devices via recording of asset information
- Advising Retail Centres of expected deliveries and confirming deliveries on-sites
- The use of internal systems to manage requests and priorities activities
- Managing communication with Retail Centres by:

- Coordinating with both internal and 3rd party engineers to confirm equipment deliveries and collections

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- A good understanding of basic Windows administration tasks such as AD groups, and security controls
- Good general IT skills to troubleshoot any basic issues arising during the imaging process
- A good understanding of IOS and Apple devices in order to perform basic set-up & troubleshooting tasks
- Attention to detail while completing an important role managing high value assets.
- Time management and ability to use their own initiative essential to role success
