Highway Liaison Officer

**Contract: Essex Highways**

**Location: Chelmsford**

**Contract Type: Permanent**

**To act as the key interface between the Highways Directorate and a wide range of stakeholders and partners; enhancing customer service and communications by obtaining information and feedback from stakeholders and partners on the effectiveness of Highway information and service delivery to inform the development if our localism agenda.**

**The Role**

***
- **Provide a main point of contact and liaison for all stakeholders so as to support high quality communication about relevant Highway issues, agendas and initiatives.**:

- **Develop, maintain and enhance relationships with key stakeholders, including District, Borough, Parish councils and other community groups to enhance the effectiveness and delivery of highway services.**:

- **Maintain systems and processes that have been set up to provide all interested parties associated with information on progress and its position of proposals in that process.**:

- **Develop and operate a customer care framework ensuring all customers complaints and are dealt with efficiently and effectively.**:

- **Develop and manage systems and protocols to support the planning, delivery and evaluation of customer satisfaction levels.**:

- **Demonstrate the impact of communications activity through effective evaluation of impact and achievement against objectives.**:

- **Co-ordinate communications to ensure stakeholders are better informed of highways initiatives that affect local communities.**

**About You**

***
- **Knowledge and experience of working in a customer relations environment.**:

- **Knowledge of Highway and Transportation service delivery is preferred.**:

- **Knowledge of budget control and management would been an advantage.**:

- **Demonstrable awareness of all environmental aspects and the impacts and waste management.**
