Masstemps LTD are currently recruiting for an experienced brake press setter/operator to join a busy and expanding engineering company based in Kidderminster.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and production requirements
- Select appropriate tooling for each job
- Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to achieve desired results
- Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area

**Skills**:

- Proficient in operating press brake machines and related equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machine setup and operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Skilled in using hand tools for assembly and fabrication tasks
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of sheet metal properties, including thicknesses, tolerances, and bend allowances

**Hours of work**: Monday - Friday 7:30am-4pm (early finish on a Friday is available)

**Rate of pay**:£14.10 per hour with progression available.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm

**Salary**: From £14.10 per hour
