Mobile Veterinary Care Assistant

**The role**
In this role you will receive full support and guidance with our in-house ‘on the job’ training program. You will be working in all areas of the practice learning the core principles of veterinary nursing.
This role supports our branches in the Scunthorpe region and travel to these branches will be required.

43 hours a week
**Skills and experience**
Full drivers licence
**The certificates need to include your Maths and English qualifications.**
Applicants must have 5 GCSE's at grade C / 4 or above to include Maths, English Language and a Science and be in possession of examination certificates. Alternatively, City & Guilds will accept alternative qualifications, e.g. Veterinary Care Assistant Certificate, Animal Nursing Assistant Award or National Diploma in Animal Care - you will still be required to provide proof of GCSE Maths and English and provide the original certificates.
Any qualifications taken abroad will require NARIC comparisons.
Previous work experience within a veterinary practice is desirable (voluntary or paid) along with a willingness to learn; work experience with animals would also be beneficial.

**Branch**
Scunthorpe is located in North Lincolnshire just off the M180 and M18 motorways allowing easy transport links to the Lincolnshire Wolds, Hull, Doncaster, Lincoln and York. It is a bustling town with restaurants, cinema, shopping parks and many other activities.
For those who enjoy country air and long walk, Scunthorpe is a stones throw away from the rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the highest land between Kent and Yorkshire. In the Wold there are many quaint market villages with plenty of independent shops and history to explore.
To the East there is the popular seaside resort of Cleethorpes with many traditional seaside restaurants and activities, the boating lake, The Jungle Zoo and Cleethorpes Light Railway.
The famous Hemswell Antique Centre is a 20minute drive from Scunthorpe which offers an array of antique shops, regular car boot sales and antique fairs.
North Lincolnshire sits on the border with North Yorkshire, you can explore the dales alongside historic cities such as York, Harrogate, Thirsk and Ripon
There is good train access to Leeds, London, Doncaster and Manchester and Robin Hood, Leeds Bradford and Humberside airport a short journey away
