I have two children, a son age 10 and a daughter age 7. Both have some developmental trauma and attachment issues which cause emotional and behavioural difficulties. My son is also autistic and has ADHD. My son is at a specialist school and needs support to manage his emotions and social situations. He enjoys using technology to play games (e.g. Roblox), drawing and playing with things such as Playdoh or Lego. He often needs some encouragement and support to go out but does enjoy himself once out. My youngest is a very sociable, friendly little girl who loves spending time outside and playing with her baby dolls.

**Brief details of the job**:
The main purpose of this job is to work alongside me caring for and supporting my children. This job will be primarily to look after my son, but you may also need to supervise and support my daughter whilst I do activities with my son. Applicants need to have experience of managing challenging behaviour.

**Hours**:
**Alternate weekends -**Saturday or Sunday for up to 8 hours

Which day you work can be negotiated. Some flexibility may be required with start and end times for your hours, in order to fit in with variable children’s activities.

**Weekday evenings** - weekend hours are my main priority at present, but there is also the possibility of work on one or two evenings per week for 2-3 hours (between 4.30pm and 7.30pm) for any applicant who is able to provide that alongside the weekend hours.

A car driver with own car is required to be able to take children out to activities.
