We have an exciting opportunity for an **Estates Cleaning Operative** to provide a highly visible presence on Freebridge Community Housing (FCH) estates across the borough whilst delivering a comprehensive, efficient and proactive estate cleaningservice. Freebridge Community Housing is the largest provider of housing in West Norfolk, set up in 2006 to receive the transfer of homes from the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. Today, we own and manage around 7,000 homes across West Norfolk, makinga difference to thousands of customers within communities across an area of almost 550 square miles. We have an annual turnover of £30m and employ well over 200 people, including our own Property Services team. Over the last 14 years, there have been numerousachievements, not least delivering our tenants' promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living. **Requirements**: - Take responsibility for providing a quality cleaning service throughout the communal areas on Freebridge estates - Take ownership of any customer complaints or suggestions for improvements to the service, reporting ideas for possible resolutions to the Estates Team Leader. Work closely with Housing Officer Colleagues to address areas of particular concern - Take responsibility for pre and post work inspections of all communal areas, reporting any concerns regarding the work of operatives or contractors to the Team Leader - Be proactive in identifying and reporting any possible abandoned properties to the Line Manager - Take responsibility for being aware of any anti-social behaviour (ASB) being committed on the estates on which you work, and assist Housing Officer colleagues to resolve ASB cases by reporting & recording in an accurate and timely way any such incidentsthat you witness, supporting this through acting in a witness capacity in any subsequent legal action **Knowledge and Experience** - Minimum of 3 GCSE passes or equivalent (including Math and English) - An understanding of the needs of social housing customers and a commitment to providing a professional service - The ability to deal effectively & non-prejudicially with a range of customers, as well as to communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels - A full driving licence **Benefits** - **£21,476.00 per annum**: - Great Pension Scheme - Full access to an Employee Assistance Program - Customer focused, team working environment - Employee discount perks - 25 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 30 days after 5 years)
