Technical Engineer

RMS are recruiting for a leading fabrication and manufacturing business based in Newton Aycliffe. They are looking for a Technical Engineer to join their growing team
**The role**:
- To support Associate Technical Director to deliver strategic objectives
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders with external clients including customers.
- To prepare system specification drawings & component drawings. Manage modifications of drawings as required.
- Dealing with and supporting customers with technical enquiries.
- To participate in and support offsite system testing as and when required.
- Office based but will involve an element of travel to support project delivery.
- Occasional visits to construction sites, suppliers and test centres will be required.
- Minimum HNC in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- CAD 2D/3D Solidworks, Autocad
- Knowledge of thermal or acoustic building envelop calculations #
- At least 2 years experience within the rainsceen / façade industry
- Practical knowledge of metal rainscreen and other façade systems.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Working knowledge of construction site installation methods and practices including CDM regulations.
- Working knowledge of relevant building regulations including Approved documents.
- Understanding of relevant façade system testing including CWCT, British and EN standards
