Head of Fundraising and Impact

The Head of Fundraising and Impact is responsible for overseeing the fundraising and development programme, ensuring Severn Wye reaches its financial targets and measures its impact. In turn, supporting programmes to reduce fuel poverty, improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
The role works across the organisation, with other departments to set and deliver fundraising targets through local authority, government and private sector contracts and grant making trusts. The role also manages the collation, interpretation and presentation of impact data from across the organisation to ensure Severn Wye is meeting its strategic goals and its projects are as efficient and effective as possible.
The role is part of the Senior Management team and responsible for the leadership of the organisation as a whole.
**Salary**: £39,040.00-£42,130.00 pro rata
**Summary of Role**
- Ensure all bids are delivered on time, on target and to the highest standard.
- Develop systems to measure outputs and impact of all Severn Wye services using this data to inform bids and for service improvement.
- Ensuring all staff within the department have the training, qualifications, support and clear expectations to deliver the programme of work
- Work across the organisation to prioritise, plan and write bids for all departments.
- Coordinate the delivery of activities within the Department ensuring quality delivery in line with any statutory requirements and our policies / procedures.
- Provide leadership to motivate, inspirate and support the people working within the team and across the organisation to embed our culture and ways of working.
- Work with the CEO and Leadership team to develop and deliver organisational strategy.
- Work with the leadership to develop and deliver effective policies and procedures to meet our statutory and quality standards.
- Work with local, regional, national, and international stakeholders, committees and advisory groups to ensure Severn Wye has access to the widest possible range of funding opportunities to deliver the service.
- Work with our Marketing team to promote the impacts and share the learning from our delivery across key stakeholders from all sectors.
**Essential requirements**:
- 5 successful years experience in charitable fundraising from a range of sources.
- Experience of developing and implementing impact measurement systems.
- Enthusiasm and commitment to environmental and social welfare objectives.
- Experience of managing and leadership of a team of staff.
- Experience of building and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners.
- Demonstrable commitment to building a constructive, equal, diverse and inclusive organisation culture.
- Experience and commitment to staff wellbeing, mentoring, training and development as well as mental and physical health and wellbeing.
- Experience of developing and submitting regular successful bids or tenders exceeding £500,000.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Demonstrable commitment to professional development and learning.
- Understanding of the third sector and the policy context within which Severn Wye works
