A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Procurement professional to join a busy organisation as a Buyer.

**Key Responsibilities of the Buyer;**
- Purchase goods and materials in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.
- Ensure all purchase requests are closed out in line with the operational demand.
- Expedite all open orders and maintain a 95% confirmation of order schedule.
- Monitor any issues which present risk or opportunity to the build plan.
- Prepare and develop reports and updates as and when required.
- Work closely with others in the supply chain function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements.
- Prepare, raise and manage purchase orders and order schedules.
- Highlight any ongoing supplier poor performance regarding cost, quality and delivery.
- Update the daily, weekly and monthly reports.

**Personal Specification of the Buyer;**
- Proven Procurement experience.
- CIPS qualification or studying towards preferred but not essential.
- Experience within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment.
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
- Good working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
- Able to work under pressure and to set deadlines.

This role would also suit you if you have held a role as a Buyer, Purchaser, Procurement Analyst or Purchasing Controller.
