Purchase Ledger Clerk
We are seeking an experienced, energetic and motivated individual to take over our purchase ledger function and offer some accounts support to our office manager and Accountant for a busy construction company based near Esher, Surrey.
You will enjoy playing a key role within our small team in taking ownership of this position and support processes to ensure efficiency and smooth day to day running.
You should have excellent organisational, time management and inter-personal skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise your own work load, thinking and planning ahead.
You should have a positive, flexible approach to your role with the ability to work as part of the team, be personable and able to relate well with co-workers and clients at all levels.
You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a busy office environment. Strong numeracy and IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Sage 50 Accounts and Autoentry - this is an automaticsystem that feeds our purchase invoices into our Sage 50 accounts, we manage and process between 250 - 400 Invoices a week.
Experience in processing invoices within the construction industry would be advantageous.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-organised and efficient individual to make the role their own.
Responsibilities to include:
- Receive, code and process supplier/sub-contractor invoices via our Autoentry system.
- Assign Invoices to specific sites and code to the correct nominal ledgers accordingly.
- Processing of Weekly Contractor Timesheets
- Processing of Invoices via Sage 50 both manually and via the Autoentry system
- Maintain and tidy weekly aged Creditors
- Liaise with our surveyor team / site managers and Directors for Invoice approvals and keep a record accordingly.
- Assist Office Manager to produce monthly payment schedule for suppliers and sub-contractors
- Processing and clearing of Company Credit Card Accounts
- General filing and record keeping using Excel spreadsheets
- Reporting to Office Manager / Accountant
Salary depending on experience £21,000 to £25,000
(23 Days (Incl 4 for xmas shut down), Pension Scheme
3 Months Probation or Temp to Perm
