Under mínimal supervision, the Senoir Account Manager is responsible for the management and execution of global projects from start to finish ensuring adherence to the client brief and a consistent and high quality of delivery. In partnership with the AccountDirector they will lead future planning, stratigic development and growth of key accounts both organically and through new business opportinites. They will be seen to proactively manage and build strong relationships with clients, developing a culture of trust,ensuring fulfilment of the agency promises and ways of working. Lead and manage projects, taking complete control and ownership and fostering cooperative working relationships with key internal and externals stakeholders. Be accountable for each client's budget,ensuring all budgets stay on track and projects deliver to scope of work and financial obligations.
**PERSONAL SPECIFICATION**
- Minimum 6 years experience in an agency environment
- Has a good understanding of motorsport
- Some experience in Sponsorship management
- A proven track record of account development and handling with a strong client servicing focus
- A thorough understanding of budgets and reconciliation (basic knowledge of Procim an advantage) (Budget handling of £1m +)
- Minimum of 'A’ level education, preferably also to a degree level
- A self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with a can-do positive attitude and ability to use common sense
- Driven, confident and articulate
- Willing to work as part of a team but also have the initiative to work independently
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail
- Be well presented and comfortable in a corporate environment and dealing with senior client executives
- Ability to juggle day to day tasks and prioritise work loads and multiple projects
- Proactive and resourceful, able to use initiative and problem solve
- Strong operational awareness - understands the daily functions of the role and how Velocity operates. Has an overall awareness of the processes, procedures and daily tasks of the role and knows where to find resources and who to reach out to in order tocomplete tasks and gain information
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint - essential
- A team player who is dedicated and enthusiastic about events
**CLIENT MANAGEMENT**:
- You are the first point of day to day contact with clients
- Contributes to the business and account forecasts
- You will be involved and contribute to the business strategy plans
- Communicating, maintaining and developing client relationships
- Participates in RFPs, proposal responses and client interactions for key accounts.
- Contributes fresh thinking to challenge the status quo and helps implement continuous improvement and best practice.
**FINANCIALS**:
- Creates and manages budgets and is responsible for supplier invoice/expense tracking and final reconciliation
- Efficiently manage budget sign off with clients, ensuring they have details of timings, fees and costs
- Negotiates contracts/agreements with 3rd party suppliers
- Responsible for ensuring clients are invoiced in a timely manner and schedules are adhered to
- Ensuring clients are regularly updated on budget status
**TEAM MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT**
Provide line management for your team, understanding and adapting to their needs and holding regular one-to-one meetings
- Agree objectives with team members and help them to meet these by providing opportunity for growth and learning whilst ensuring client and project needs are met
- Work with the Account Director and take an active involvement in the recruitment process, ensuring correct procedures are followed
**PROJECT MANAGEMENT**:
- Tracks and manages project timelines and drives timeline with team and client as directed
- Runs weekly team and client meetings
- Monitors services & activities to ensure they are within budget
- Ensures timely delivery of all necessary assets, content and materials for each event
- Oversees suppliers and service providers efficiently and respectfully
- Works with client and account team on planning, execution and post-event reporting
- Project manages onsite
- Maintains consistent and thorough communication with all parties involved.
- Oversees signage/graphics and décor development, copy, creation and placement.
- Develops and organizes accommodation, catering, staffing and transportation (as required)
