A fire station administrator is typically responsible for overseeing the administrative functions and operations within a fire station or fire department. The role can vary depending on the size and structure of the department, but generally includes tasks such as:

- **Budget Management**: Administering the budget for the fire station or department, ensuring funds are allocated appropriately for equipment, personnel, and operational costs.
- **Personnel Management**: Managing staffing levels, scheduling shifts, overseeing recruitment and training, and ensuring compliance with labor regulations.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintaining accurate records related to calls, equipment inventory, training logs, incident reports, and compliance with regulations.
- **Policy Implementation**: Ensuring the fire station operates within the legal framework and implementing policies and procedures for operations, safety, and compliance with regulations.
- **Communication**: Serving as a liaison between the fire station and other local government agencies, as well as the public. This may also involve managing media relations and public outreach.
- **Maintenance and Logistics**: Overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of fire apparatus, equipment, and facilities to ensure they are ready for emergency response.

In larger fire departments, the fire station administrator might work under the fire chief or division chief, while in smaller departments, they could be directly responsible for many of these tasks. This role is essential in ensuring that the station runs smoothly and is able to respond effectively to emergencies.

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 8 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
