Are you passionate about keeping spaces clean, safe, and welcoming? Join our **Active North Yorkshire** team as a **Cleaner**and help us deliver outstanding service while ensuring our leisure centres maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

As a **Cleaner** in our team, you’ll play a crucial role in creating a positive environment for our customers by ensuring the cleanliness and safety of all areas within the centre. You’ll be responsible for carrying out a variety of cleaning tasks, from mopping floors to maintaining gym equipment, all while ensuring the highest standards are met.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **General Cleaning**: Dust, mop, sweep, and vacuum various areas including floors, furniture, and gym equipment toilets, and the changing rooms/village
- **Specialist Cleaning**: Perform detailed cleaning of gym and exercise equipment, sanitary fittings, and internal glass.
- **Health & Safety**: Follow Health and Safety practices and COSHH regulations, ensuring a safe environment for all users.
- **Customer-Focused**: Contribute to a clean, welcoming, and safe space, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- **Stock Management**: Monitor and maintain stock levels of cleaning materials and report any equipment faults.
- **Emergency Preparedness**: Respond promptly to emergency situations, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
- **Team Support**: Work closely with the Duty Manager and colleagues to meet cleaning requirements and help improve services.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Essential**:

- A clear understanding of high service delivery standards and health & safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to perform cleaning duties.
- Customer-oriented with great communication skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including early mornings, evening and weekend work.
- **Desirable**:

- Awareness of COSHH regulations and PPE.
- First Aid at work certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A full clean driving license (if applicable).
