Our client who is well known in the Plymouth business landscape is looking for an assistant accountant to work directly with their finance director in a hands-on accounting position. This is a varied role covering all transactional work, collating salaries,and month end. You will need to be good at meeting deadlines, liaising with a full range of staff & external organisations. In return you will be offered some flexibility around working hours, plenty of support and the opportunity to join a friendly focusedteam.

Responsibilities include:

- Assisting with the preparation of statutory financial accounts
- Expense claims
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Assisting in the creation of KPI reports
- Invoicing clients on long term contracts
- Accounts Payable
- Administration of the banking system
- Collate monthly salary information for processing by external payroll provider
- UK VAT
- AAT Level 3 Minimum
- Good working knowledge of Excel

Working hours: Monday to Friday 30-37.5 Hours per week 1 Day per week work from home.
