Kitchen Porter

**Summary of Job Purpose**:
To ensure that all areas of the Kitchen are clean and tidy. Meeting EHO and company standards.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure the Kitchen is tidy at all times
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and wear uniform as per company policy
- Assist in preparation of food as required by the Chef
- Undertake the cleaning schedule as per Food Safety Manual
- Undertake pot wash duties and clean area daily
- Ensure restaurants on all units are cleaned of all used crockery and cutlery after meals and returned to the Kitchen for washing
- Check Garden Rooms twice daily and remove any used crockery and cutlery to the Kitchen for washing
- Check sub-kitchens daily and replenish supplies as required
- At the end of each shift ensure cleaning schedules have been undertaken and cleaning forms signed
- Ensure the Kitchen is left clean and tidy. All bins to be emptied at the end of each shift
- Undertake statutory training as directed by the Chef

**Generic Core Duties**
- Positively promote the Home through personal conduct both within and outside working hours
- Ensure that you have read and understood all relevant company policies and procedures and that you comply with these at all times
- Attend and participate in all training sessions and staff meetings as required
- Maintain good working relationships with all colleagues at all times
- Any other reasonable instruction from the Chef or Home Manager, which is within your area of competence.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £9.60 per hour
